Lindsay Johnston
Registered Veterinary Technician
BSc (Honours) Animal Biology, University of Guelph · RVT, Seneca College
Lindsay holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Animal Biology from the University of Guelph and is a graduate of the Veterinary Technician program at Seneca College. She entered veterinary medicine in 2005, spending nearly ten years in a small animal hospital where she developed a focus on low-stress handling and positive patient experiences.
Her interest in animal behaviour deepened through that clinical work, and she went on to serve as a Professor of Animal Nutrition and Senior Technologist in the Seneca College veterinary technician program, where she facilitated labs in handling, restraint, and nursing techniques.
Lindsay joined the team in 2021, where she provides case support and behaviour modification for canine and feline patients with emotional and behavioural disorders. She is Low Stress Handling® Silver certified, Fear Free certified, a member of the Society of Veterinary Behaviour Technicians, and is currently pursuing a Veterinary Technician Specialty in Behaviour.
Outside of work, Lindsay enjoys reading, hiking, and backcountry canoeing. She shares her home with three cats — Autumn, Felix, and Mr. Kitty — and a Border Collie/German Shepherd mix named Sprocket.
